Histology Specialist

                              Histology specialist
Duties and Responsibilities:
Histologists prepare tissue samples that are used by physicians to determine if a patient has a disease, dysfunction, or malignancy. When they have the samples then they put them on microscope slides and use microscopes to see the structures. Histologists preform more complex and advanced procedures than the technicians. Histology specialists usually work in hospital, veterinary, pharmacy, or research laboratories.
Average Salary:
$22,000 - $35,000 (Histologist technicians)
$30,000 - $50,000 (Histologists)
Education:
Students should be taking the most challenging high school courses in that field. They must earn an associate’s degree in their field or complete a year long internship. They must also pass a national examination.
I don’t think I would like to be a histology technician because I want to interact with the patient I’m seeing.
