Medical Assistant
Duties and Responsibilities:
Medical assistants help physicians and nurses deliver medical
care. They make appointments; take blood pressure respiration, temperatures;
and perform patient pre-examining procedures. Sometimes they work in the office
and do clerical tasks. Medical assistants work in hospital, clinics, and
private physician offices.
Salary: $17,000 - $18,000
Educational requirements:
Students should take the most challenging high school courses
in biology, physical science, office management, communications, and human
relations. Medical assistant training programs may accept GED certificate. Medical assistant training programs are
provided by community colleges and for-profit technical training schools. They may take between six months and two
years to complete.
I don’t think I would like to be a medical assistant because
of the salary.
