I believe that this statement is telling us that teamwork is very important.A team can conquer goals faster and with less effort if the team is unified.When a team works together things become easier and it helps them stay together.

"CTR connects you to happiness and success. CTW disconnects you." - Mr. Haymore
What i think this quote is trying to mean is that if we go thorough life CTW you will be unhappy. If you CTR you have a chance of being happy and successful though life. if a person CTR then opportunities will open up to them but if the CTW their would only be negative consequences for them.
