Recreation Therapist
Duties and Responsibilities:
They help patients restore, re mediate, and rehabilitate the
patient’s level of functioning. They promote health and wellness as well as
reduce or eliminate activity limitations and restrictions. They help the person
be more life like due to an accident or illness or disabling condition. They
restore motor, social and cognitive functioning and help develop coping skills.
Average Salary: $42,000
Education Requirements:
A high school diploma is required and the student should be
emphasized on science, English, and math. They then have to take a 3 year
course in order to become a licensed professional. Courses can be taken on the
job or an "express" course that last for 1 year. Then they are able
to work anywhere on the state.
Do you think you would like to be one?
No I would not like to be one because I think it is boring.
I feel like they don't get paid enough even if they are restoring a whole
person to almost brand new. I don't think it makes any sense to do that unless
you are that kind heart-ed.
