Duties and Responsibilities:

Optical laboratory technicians grind and fit eyeglasses lenses into frames according to prescriptions. Technicians set grinding machine so that lens blanks are ground and polished. They then fit polished lenses into eyeglasses frames. Some optical technicians work in laboratories. Many also work in retail stores.

Average Salary: $15,000 - $20,000

Educational Requirements:

A high school diploma or GED certificate is needed to begin training. Training programs last between six months and one year. Some retail store optical departments provide on-the-job training.

Reflection:  Yes I would like to be a optical laboratory technician, but only as apart time job not as a full time career.

Reflection: I believe that this statement means that if you know you did your best and followed every rule then that is more important than winning. For example, if someone does everything correct in a game then he did well and that alone is greater than winning. Another example is if you are in a race and someone had an accident and fell over, its better to stop help him up and help him finish the race.

On the weekend I watched an episode of the walking dead. Although I am not a huge fan of the walking dead I do enjoy watching it. I also played a game called clash of clans, it is a pretty good game. A also watched a bunch of movies and that was probably what I did on my weekend.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ophthalmologists are physicians that specialize in treatment of eye disorders and diseases. They treat vision problems and write prescriptions for both pharmaceuticals and corrective eye lenses. They also preform eye surgery if necessary. Many ophthalmologists are in private practice. Some may be employed by hospitals or clinics, while others preform research.

Average Salary: $90,000 - $150,000

Educational Requirements:

Only physicians may study this job in the medical field. After medical school and an internship, ophthalmologists must then complete a three to five year residency in an approved program. They must then pass an examination to be certified.

Reflection:  I think I would consider being an ophthalmologist because its sounds like a very interesting career.

What this quote is trying to say is that if you prepare for the future you will most likely reach that future. For example if you choose a make a goal for yourself you most likely achieve it since you are guided. If you don't make a goal you are unguided and don't know which direction to go.

Progress Report

This post is another progress report on my 100 goals. I have achieved another one of my goals which is to learn how to play tennis. Although I am not a expert on it I am getting the hang of it. Next I am hoping to learn the rules on tennis so I can call them out when I see them.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Operating room technicians are also called surgical technologist or surgical technologist. They assist in preparing operating rooms. They are responsible for having surgical tools, bandages, linens, needed fluids, and other equipment ready for the operation. They also help doctors by handing them equipment for doing surgery. They deliver specimens to hospital laboratories for analysis.

Average Salary: $16,000 - $22,000

Educational Requirements:

A high school diploma or GED certificate is required.  Many colleges offer programs in operating room technology, and training may also be taken at large hospitals.  Programs vary one year to two years.  Students receive training in medical terminology, physiology, and sterilization methods.  At the end of the training period students must pass an examination by the Association of Surgical Technologists to become certified.

Reflection: I wouldn't want to be an operating room technician because I don’t have steady hands and I’m also very indecisive when it comes to getting a job done.
