Sonographer
(Ultrasound Technicians)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Sonographers work with equipment that directs very high frequency
sound waves into the body tissues to produce images or pictures of organs. Some
Sonographers specialize in examining certain areas of the body. They also check
the patients’ medical history. Most Sonographers work in hospitals.
Average Salary: $24,000 - $38,000
Educational Requirements:
Students should take the most challenging high school
courses in science, math, and English courses. Sonographers training programs are
offered at community colleges and hospitals. They can be completed in one to
four years. Sonographers must pass annual certification tests after completing
training.
Reflection: I don't think I would like to be one because it gets paid to little.
